A common fault with Nissan e-NV200 (ME0/VME0) relates to a cable bush located in gear selector. Due to a incorrect installation of the selector cable, these cable bushes are prone to rapidly wearing out. So much so that Nissan Japan issued a recall in 2019. Failure of these bushes causes the vehicle to fault and display a T/M System Malfunction warning on the instrument cluster resulting in the vehicle unable to shift in or out of park. As this issue has been acknowledged by Nissan in Japan, it is recommended that all e-NV200 manufactured between September 2014 and January 2017 have this bush replaced to avoid being stranded.
